I was left in awe of the football played by Athletic last night. It was the beautiful game at its best. Pass and move with interchanging was a delight to watch.

As for United, again slumping to a European home defeat this season, it was another poor performance. De Gea was the only outstanding player, keeping the tie alive for us.

Nonetheless, nothing can be taken away from the Basque side who dominated us, at OT! I have not seen United beaten in such away at home. Do we need a rethink in how we play football?

What is more impressive is that Athletic Club only sign Basque players, most come through their youth system, with their team last night costing around €22million.

What were other peoples thoughts on the game. Where do United go from here? Because at the end of the day, it should be US stamping our authority on teams!
